Eixample

The Eixample is one of Barcelona's most iconic and sought-after neighbourhoods, known for its elegance, orderly layout and unmistakable modernist style. Designed at the end of the 19th century by the engineer Ildefons Cerdà, the Eixample's urban plan revolutionised the city with its wide streets, octagonal blocks and its perfect combination of functionality and aesthetics. Today, it remains an example of modern urbanism and one of the most desirable places to live.

The neighbourhood is divided into areas with their own character, such as the Eixample Esquerra and the Eixample Dreta, where some of the most iconic architectural jewels of the city are located, such as La Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló or La Pedrera. Its modernist buildings, with ornate facades and large balconies, coexist with high-end refurbished buildings, contemporary apartments and penthouses with panoramic views over the Barcelona skyline.

Living in the Eixample means enjoying all the comforts: local shops, supermarkets, international schools, medical centres, gyms, boutiques and an excellent gastronomic and cultural offer. It is an ideal neighbourhood for both families and professionals, thanks to its safe environment, its cleanliness and its cosmopolitan atmosphere.

In terms of transport and connectivity, Eixample has an impeccable network: multiple metro lines (L1, L2, L3, L4, L5), train stations, city buses and bike lanes that quickly connect with any point in the city. In addition, its central location allows you to walk to the historic centre, Paseo de Gracia or even green areas such as the Ciutadella Park. In short, the Eixample combines history, style and quality of life. It is a neighbourhood that represents the essence of Barcelona: the elegance of its past and the vitality of its present.
